Hey guys,

It seems that there are people trying to steal accounts, so I suggest that everybody changes their password to something more secure (i.e. a combination of letters and numbers about 8 characters long).

Also, do not trust anybody with your login details, do not e-mail them to anybody, including admins and moderators. This is because people can easily get into your e-mail accounts and view your sent and received e-mails.

Just be careful, there are a few people stealing accounts.

Thanks,

Warlord

Just to add to this, We do NOT Need your password to reset your account. Too many people freely send their password in an email when asking for a GUID Reset.

We do not need it, Do not give it to Anyone!

Like to add a little more. No Super Moderator or Admin will ever ask for your password. If you think someone has hacked your computer, being key logged, or anything else please contact a Super Moderator or Admin as soon as possible.
In addition to that, get in a habit of changing your password(s) monthly and write it down on a piece of paper.

I'd also like to add that it can be wise to add a few abnormal characters to you password.

e.g. !£$%^&*()@#

Brute forcers very rarely include those characters in their attacks, all of my passwords have at least 2 of those characters hidden in them.

Please don't go overboard so much that it is impossible to remember. Just adding two £'s at the end of your password is sufficient to increase the cracking time drastically, and if they didn't include £'s in the attack it would never crack.

Additionally, if someone ever asks for your account details for whatever reason report them, if it is a PM use the report PM function.

Even if you trust them with your life report them and dont tell them anything.

The only exception to this is a member of staff asking your account username so we can reset you.
