REQUEST! - Codehook Logo

[Warlord]

Hey guys,

So I was just thinking about it, and really we need a much bigger version of this Codehook logo. The one you see at the top of the forum is the biggest it ever was, which is not ideal of course if we want to use it for bigger (and better!) things.

So I'm wondering if anybody can re-create it at a much bigger size, as closely accurate as possible to what it looks like. That means same font, same effects, same word/letter spacing etc.

Also, if anybody wants to come up with some new ways of doing the logo (i.e. different effects, maybe some things changed up, whatever you think) then that would be awesome too.

Anyhow, if anybody can do this, I will hugely appreciate it!

I think you should remove that white from the top which scatters on the letters.

I would say I like dopefiend's the best, X-Man's second.

Something about dopefiend's looks a bit cartooney, though, if you know what I mean. I think it's the borders around the letters, is there any way of making them kind of crisper or something? Like in the original it really looks like a glass effect, whereas yours looks a bit softer. I do like the crispier effect if you can get it :p

I think that looks better already, but I'll try and describe more what I mean.

I think it's your shadowing, it's most noticeable on the arrows, I think it would look better if there wasn't shadowing and they were flat, like in the original logo. And maybe the same for the letters as well, but I don't know. As I say, it's making it look 'softer' than the original, which is flatter and sharper. Also I'm not sure if you can change it, but the borders on the letters have very rounded edges. I'm not asking for non-rounded edges, but if you can, can you make them less rounded slightly?

I know I'm being picky but I just want the logo to look as best as possible for the new website (which will require the logo to be in a different colour, but we'll deal with that when it comes to it).

Also, X-Man your logo is great but I don't think it'll support the new website. It's actually a great logo for a gaming website, but unfortunately we've already done the design for the new site and it wouldn't fit in with it. We're looking for a very simplistic, clean look rather than a big, bold look which most gaming sites have. After all, we're looking to be more of a professional business than a gaming community and that's just an unfortunate incompatibility.

Not psd but psB its photoshop smart object file.
I'm remaking logo from the scratch, I made everything by my own, even those arrows I cut by my own.
That nooby arrow what you are using I made months ago, the same from the scratch.
Now I'm sure that you are damaged I sent you my own work, my own cut arrows and you think its nooby psd copied from small logo file.. Try yourself I would be pleased to look what you can make from that small logo.

dopefiend, I just realised what you've changed. The first version you posted up on page 1 doesn't have those lines going through each letter, doesn't have shadowing and has the glassy effect. I much prefer that to your later versions.

Can you revert back to that and just make the borders thinner and sharper?

dopefiend I much prefer that last version you posted up, and I also like your version Stanley, although I think your glassy effect is covering too much of the letters, maybe bring that up a bit?

What does everybody else think about dopefiend's versions? Do you prefer the flat, glassy effect or the textured, shadowed effect?
